IT'S TIME TO ENTER THE 21ST CENTURY, WITH TECHNOLOGY THAT LEADS PROFESSIONALS INTO THE WINNER'S CIRCLE; THE VR4E 3 SPEED RACING AUTOMATIC. THE TRIED AND TRUE ALUMINUM POWERGLIDE TRANSMISSION DATES BACK TO 1962, AND HAS SERVED THE DRAG RACING COMMUNITY WELL.

NOW IS THE TIME FOR THE VR4E 3 SPEED RACING AUTOMATIC TO LEAD THE WAY IN THE 21 CENTURY. THE POWERGLIDE HAS A 1.76 OR 1.82:1 LOW GEAR, AND A 1TO1 HIGH GEAR RATIO, THE RATIO CHANGE FROM LOW TO HIGH IS TOO GREAT FOR A LOT OF TODAY'S HIGH HORSEPOWER RACE CARS. THE LARGE DROP IN GEAR RATIO CAN SLOW YOU DOWN. THE VR4E IS A TRUE 3-SPEED AUTOMATIC, AND HAS A FIRST GEAR OF 1.77:1, A SECOND GEAR OF 1.31 TO1, AND THIRD GEAR OF 1:1, AND USES A LOCKUP TORQUE CONVERTER FOR A TRUE 1 TO 1 RATIO IN HIGH GEAR, ESSENTIALLY GIVING YOU 4 FORWARD SPEEDS.

THE CLUTCH PACK APPLYING LOCKUP SERVES AS 4TH GEAR, DRAMATICALLY REDUCING ENGINE RPM, INCREASING MPH, LOWERING ELAPSED TIME, AND PROVIDING THE TRUE 1:1 RATIO, YOU ONLY GET THROUGH A LOCKUP CONVERTER. THIS TRANSMISSION IS VERY USER FRIENDLY, IT IS ALL ELECTRICALLY SOLENOID SHIFTED WITH 4 SOLENOIDS ON THE OUT SIDE OF THE TRANSMISSION, WE USE A SIEMENS PC WITH A PINGEL DUAL BUTTON TO SHIFT THE TRANS UP OR DOWN, IT CAN ALSO BE SHIFTED WITH TACH RPM OR A TIMER.

PRESSURE REGULATOR IS ALSO ON THE OUT SIDE OF THE TRANS, ALONG WITH THE TRANS BRAKE SOLENOID, THE ONLY THING IN THE PAN IS AN OIL FILTER. THE REAR HOUSING CAN BE REMOVED WHILE TRANS IS IN THE VEHICLE FOR EASY DAINTINESS,

THIS TRANS WILL ALSO BOLT TO A LAKEWOOD BELL HOUSING THAT HAS A LENCO TRANS BOLT CIRCLE WHICH MEANS THAT THIS TRANS CAN BOLT TO ANY ENGINE COMBINATION AND CAN BE MADE LEGAL IN ANY CLASS. MAKING THIS TRANS YOUR #1 CHOSE WILL GIVE YOU THE ULTIMATE ADVANTAGE OVER THE COMPETITION.

LOW GEAR CONSISTS OF 6 FRICTIONS AND STEELS. MANY GEAR RATIOS AVAILABLE, RANGING FROM 1.67 TO 2.75 LOW GEAR, 1.26 TO 1.96 SECOND GEAR, AND 1 TO 1 HIGH GEAR

TYPICAL GEAR RATIOS ARE 1.77:1 FIRST GEAR, 1.31:1 SECOND GEAR, AND 1:1 THIRD GEAR. ENGAGING THE TORQUE CONVERTER IN HIGH GEAR ELIMINATES SLIPPAGE TO GIVE YOU TRUE 1:1 FINAL RATIO FOR FOURTH GEAR
